The mission of Academic Social Innovation is to help academically unprepared recovering substance using adults obtain their educational and employment goals and to further their mental, spiritual growth and development in order to become productive, contributing members of their community.
The vision of Academic Social Innovation is to provide not only cognitive skills as a foundation for academically unprepared adults but also include creative and practical skills as equally important parts of the assessment criterion for education. The vision is to work closely with industry partners in the STEM fields to help students to obtain internships and become problem-solvers. This would provide students with a full range of life skills to compete for employment opportunities on the world stage.
